Watch: Marcus Rashford Scores Brace Against Omonia

Ten Hag’s changes have inspired United to turn this game around. Rashford and Martial both scored just moments after being substituted onto the pitch. There was a strong case for the latter to start after the Manchester derby and you’d think he’d be in contention to start against Everton.

Manchester United take on Omonia Nicosia away in Cyprus in the Europa League on Thursday night.

United were defeated in their opening Europa League group match against Real Sociedad, but Erik ten Hag’s side bounced back to comfortably beat FC Sheriff 2-0 last month thanks to goals from Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo in Chisinau.

Ten Hag will be aware of the importance of winning the Europa League group and he has picked a strong side, with Ronaldo and Casemiro starting the game against Omonia, who are managed by former Celtic boss Neil Lennon.

Omonia are currently fourth in the Cypriot first division and they have lost both of their Europa League matches this season. Regarding team news, Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire, Donny van de Beek and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are all sidelined with injuries.
