Deal Agreed, Medical To Take Place, 37-App Man United Star Set To Move Away From Club On Loan

Manchester United’s superstar is expected to join Napoli for the rest of the season.

Manchester United Football Club is taking a new path under Ralf Rangnick. Will there be any new signings in January? Who knows…

With the locker room appearing so full, it seemed inevitable that at least one or two players who weren’t in Rangnick’s plans would be moved on.

Axel Tuanzebe appears to suit the bill, at least for the time being. The defender appears to be someone who could make an impact at United in the future. He’ll be playing football somewhere else for the time being.

The report comes from Fabrizio Romano, who claims that a loan deal has been reached for the 37-year-old United midfielder. After the paperwork is signed, he’ll reportedly fly to Roma, where he’ll undergo medical testing:

Tuanzebe will play his football in Italy between now and June after Manchester United accepted a £420,000 bid from the Serie A club.

This appears to be the right next move for Tuanzebe. The teenage centre-back has been itching to play regularly for a quality team. Hopefully, Napoli will be able to provide him with that opportunity.

Tuanzebe’s chances of starting every week at Old Trafford this season were always going to be difficult after the addition of Raphael Varane. But if he can impress in Naples, there’s a good chance he’ll be in Rangnick’s plans for next season.

It’s all about the minutes, as it always is with these loan transfers. Tuanzebe can only succeed as a player and as a club if he can prove his worth and force his way into the starting XI. If that doesn’t happen, he might as well have stayed in Manchester and progressed as a player at United.
