Chelsea superstar too meet Conte to discuss potential summer move to Spurs

According to Spanish publication Sport in Spain, Chelsea defender is expected to meet with Antonio Conte in the summer to explore a possible move to Tottenham.

When his contract at Stamford Bridge expires in the summer, he is anticipated to leave (Sky Sports).

Tottenham has been in communication with the former Roma man’s agents about a transfer across the capital, according to reports (Football Insider).

Spurs are said to have made a’very good offer’ to the 28-year-old (Dean Jones on The Football Terrace YouTube Channel), but some sources have suggested that the defender does not want to join Chelsea’s rivals and would rather transfer elsewhere (Fabrizio Romano).

If Sport’s latest update is to be believed, Tottenham still have not given up hope of snapping up Rudiger.

The report reveals the German international will meet with Conte, who brought him to Chelsea from AS Roma in the summer of 2017.

It is explained that the Chelsea star had a meeting with Barcelona this week but the Catalan club are unable to meet his demands of a €7m per year (£5.7m) salary and signing-on bonus.

Spurs, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are said to be willing to offer Rudiger a lucrative contract to sign on the dotted line.

While we do not doubt that Spurs are serious about their interest in Rudiger. We cannot see the 28-year-old risking the wrath of the Chelsea fans by making a switch to Tottenham.

If he has agreed to speak to Conte, he probably did so out of respect for the Italian more than anything else. Rudiger’s entourage might be using Spurs’ interest to potentially negotiate a higher salary with the likes of PSG.
