Breaking News: La Liga Forward Open For Move To Chelsea

Chelsea Transfer News

There have been a lot of speculations surrounding the future of Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of late. The 33-year-old Gabonese striker has found himself as a subject of serious transfer interest from Premier League heavyweights Chelsea.

The Blues are desperately looking for a new striker after having let go of both Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner this summer. And, manager Thomas Tuchel has narrowed in on Aubameyang, having worked with the veteran striker in the past at Borussia Dortmund.

Aubameyang signed for the Blaugrana only seven months ago, arriving on a free transfer after terminating his contract with Arsenal. The centre-forward has settled in well at Camp Nou and finished the previous season as the joint top-scorer for the club, netting 13 goals.

But, his future has now become a topic of discussion with Chelsea reportedly preparing an offer to sign him up.

While Barcelona are said to be reluctant to sell Aubameyang, Toni Juanmarti reports that the Blaugrana could consider offloading the striker should an offer of €25 million come along.

However, he adds that there is no way Chelsea would offer as much for the veteran striker but could offer half of that in fixed payments.

Xavi & co. do not wish to part ways with the striker. However, given the economic situation, Barcelona are not entirely ruling out the possibility of a sale as it might help the club with finances.

Aubameyang, for his part, would be open to a transfer if his conditions are met, as he believes some things at Barcelona could have been handled better.

The striker’s representatives had a meeting with the club earlier today. Given his contract with Barça runs until 2025, it remains to be seen if he decides to move on from the club as Tuchel & co. lie in wait.
