Henderson launches a long clearance down the right, under pressure from Bowen. He inadvertently springs Fernandes down the right. Fernandes cuts back for Pogba, who unleashes a screamer into the top right! Fabianski had no chance.
Manchester United are looking to extend their excellent away form as they face West Ham in the Premier League today.
The Reds have won their last eight away league matches, scoring at least two goals in each of those wins. The Hammers are also in decent form under former United boss David Moyes having won each of their last three Premier League fixtures.
United have a poor record at the London Stadium but can take some positives from the mid-week defeat by Paris Saint-Germain heading into the clash with Moyes’ side.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made several changes ahead of Tuesday’s crunch game against RB Leipzig in the Champions League, with Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford among the substitutes. Dean Henderson starts, with David de Gea absent from the matchday squad.
Fernandes shows in attack for the first time since coming on, spinning cutely down the middle and threading a delicate pass forward in the hope of releasing Martial into the box. Martial is well offside. But again: a little better from Manchester United.
Rashford tries to pick up the pace with a determined dribble down the left. He cuts inside and tees up McTominay, who flashes the side netting with a fierce first-time drive. A little better from the visitors.
