Manchester United are back in pre-season action on Friday morning when they face Melbourne Victory in their second match of the summer, with kick-off at 11:05 BST.
Erik ten Hag’s side were excellent in their opening win against Liverpool earlier in the week and are in for another interesting test against one of Australia’s best club sides.
Manchester United used 22 different players during their 4-0 victory against Jurgen Klopp’s side on Tuesday and Ten Hag is expected to take the chance to give minutes to most of his players once again today.
That’s good persistence from McTominay, who had two shots blocked earlier. It was a huge deflection and a big slice of luck for United, who have not had much joy in the final third. And then they quickly go ahead.
If Chong is coming on, as United’s half-time warm-up suggested, it is odd. Garnacho and Mejbri are more worthy of an entrance than a player who has spent the last two years out on loan. Chong is Dutch, though.
GOAL! Rashford makes it three with a clever finish. Bailly responds to his mistake by assisting Rashford with a through ball. That’s the kind of finish we expect from Rashford.
