Thiago is teed up on the edge of the box, but his shot is blocked. Alexander-Arnold crosses deep, but Mane can’t keep the header in. Phillips had a better angle there – poor communication.
That was a massive chance for Alexander-Arnold as he cuts inside and blazes it over the bar. Liverpool won’t get many better than that for the remaining few minutes. Wijnaldum is on for Rhys Williams.
Thiago has been excellent today, I have to say. Liverpool are running out of time though here. We’re into the final 15 minutes at The Hawthorns. Failure to win could be fatal for the top-four hopes.
Liverpool have got away with one there. Bartley scores but it’s given offside, but it was him who was, it was Matt Phillips in front of Alisson’s sight. A tough call for West Brom but Liverpool will be delighted, they haven’t had too much luck for those types of calls this season.

I feel like I say this every game but this is a huge 25 minutes or so in the context of the season at The Hawthorns. It’s rarely comfortable these days, is it? Liverpool need a bit of inspiration.

Good start from Liverpool in this second half. Thiago really dictating things for me. Salah has just teed up Mane who had it in the net, but it was offside, which was the correct call. But between him, Thiago and Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool look a threat.
