McGregor misplaces his pass and Obafemi breaks. Christie tries to wipe him out but gets nowhere near him. Obafemi squares it to Parrott who is one-on-one with Gordon, but the goalkeeper saves. A huge chance. We’re all square and it’s Jack Hendry!
Really good play down the left from the hosts as Taylor feeds Christie, who crosses and Hendry is there all alone in the middle of the area to head home. The Tottenham full-back breaks down the right and cuts inside onto his left. He shoots, but curls well wide. Head in hands.
Well Scotland have been the better team but haven’t really tested Gavin Bazunu. Ireland lead through John Egan and it’s probably deserved. It’s been a solid, traditional away performance. Cullen takes out Hickey and Scotland want a red card for the midfielder, but he gets away with it.
The free kick comes to nothing and that’s the half time whistle. Good half. McGinn fires wide after a period of sloppy play where both sides lose possession. Parrott the concedes a foul for a push on Tierney during a header at goal.
10 minutes to go until half-time. Scotland would love one before then. It’s a great corner in and Scotland actually win the first header with Dykes heading away. Molumby keeps it alive and Collins touches to John Egan, who fires home past Gordon to send orange shirts into ecstasy.
