Manchester United’s midfielder has signed a new three-year contract with the club, including a 12-month extension option.
The magazine also claims that the midfielder rejected Manchester United’s original contract offer but has now agreed on new conditions for a contract extension until 2024. His current contract was set to end the following summer.
The young midfielder shone in the second part of last season under Chris Houghton and is poised for a reunion with the former Brighton manager. This summer, he has garnered “widespread attention” from Championship clubs, according to Football Insider.
Last season, he made 21 appearances for Watford before moving to the City Ground in January, where he made another 20 appearances and scored four goals.
He has been a regular in United’s first team during pre-season games as a center midfielder, and has been recognized by Bruno Fernandes as one of the club’s two standout young players.
