Manchester United Battling Liverpool For Signing 17-Year-Old–Barcelona Star Worth €50M

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Liverpool are keen on signing Barcelona’s new star midfielder, but face competition from Manchester United for his signature.

According to El Nacional, both parties are ‘interested’ in the player but may need to persuade him of the transfer.

According to the publication, Barcelona is keen to sign Gavi to a new contract at the Nou Camp, and he is the latest in a fresh series of potential prospects for the future.

He has become the season’s “great phenomenon,” first with Barcelona and subsequently with the senior Spanish national team.

He has a bright future ahead of him despite being only 17 years old, and his football ‘deserves to be among the best.’

He already has Ronald Koeman and Luis Enrique’s trust, but his ‘explosion’ means there are’many more eyes on him,’ and there are several interested parties.

PSG, Liverpool and Manchester United are ‘interested’ in the kid and are not put off by his €50m release clause, which they believe ‘acceptable’ to capture a developing star.

They will have to work hard to persuade the kid, who prefers to stay in Barcelona and ‘wishes to excel as a Blaugrana.’

That is why signing a new contract is one of the club’s top priorities, as Liverpool and Manchester United both ‘threaten’ to pay the clause and take him away.
