Juventus Interested In Signing Chelsea Defender In Summer

Antonio Rudiger

Juventus would like Chelsea’s defender to become the new Giorgio Chiellini, according to a report.

The 29-year-old is out of contract at Stamford Bridge in the summer, and his future is currently up in the air, with several teams hoping to persuade him to join them.

That includes his current club, as the Blues have been negotiating with the center-back throughout the season, but with the Blues currently up for sale, it is unknow what the future will be.

According to The Sun, Juventus are hoping to push Rudiger as the new Chiellini if they are able to sign him this summer, with the club aiming for him to take over the experienced defender.

The German has been offered a deal that is believed to be worth £5.5m-per-season over a five-year contract, if he was to sign with the Italian outfit.

Antonio Rudiger has remained a consistent player for Thomas Tuchel throughout this season, having made 26 appearances throughout the Premier League.

Sanctions imposed on the club’s outcast Russian owner Roman Abramovich mean the club cannot negotiate new contracts.

Antonio Rudiger is one of three senior stars who will become free agents at the end of the season, along with club captain Cesar Azpilicueta and Dane Andreas Christensen are the others.
