According to his former teammate Geremi, Manchester United’s prospects of selecting Zinedine Zidane as their next manager are limited.
Current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under pressure to turn things around, and a defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday might compel the United board to fire him.
United are presently eight points behind league leaders Chelsea and cannot afford to go farther behind.
Following last Sunday’s humbling home defeat to Liverpool, speculations circulated that Antonio Conte may be appointed, but the MEN knows that certain members of the board are “not keen” on employing the Italian.

Man United players are said to have lashed out at one other and the management at a meeting with players and staff two days after the loss to Leicester. Solskjr solicited their feedback on what might be improved, and they did not hold back.
One player even questioned Solskjr’s choice to award Harry Maguire the captaincy barely six months after joining Manchester United from Leicester.
One Manchester United player confronted Solskjr, asking him why he was so hesitant to dismiss players who were underperforming in games. That player alleged that Solskjr and the coaching staff were too hesitant to award periphery players who were performing well in training.
A squad member chastised several of his teammates for appearing unmotivated throughout training.
It is apparent that the Man Utd board is now judging Solskjr game by game. The next three games would build up to the international break, during which any break with Solskjr could be readily made and any replacement could be brought in.
