According to The Athletic, Everton are interested in buying a defender from Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
Everton were said to be interested in United’s right-back last summer. The Toffees did not submit an official proposal.
The 22-year-old Portugal international right-back is said to be a “player of interest.” PSV right-back Denzel Dumfries is also a target for Everton.
He has been on United’s books since 2018, when he arrived from FC Porto for a fee of £19 million, as reported by BBC Sport at the time. Jose Mourinho was the manager of Manchester United at the time.
The Portugal international has yet to establish himself as a regular in the Red Devils’ first squad.
The 22-year-old was on loan at AC Milan for the 2020-21 season.
At United, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the undisputed first-choice right-back, with Brandon Wiliams as his backup.
Of course, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would like a large and powerful team for the next season.
After all, the Red Devils will be attempting to win both the Premier League and the Champions League the next season.
Everton, on the other hand, may entice Dalot with a lucrative offer, especially if the player can be persuaded that a transfer to Goodison Park would result in greater playing time.
