Chelsea will have to pay £62 million to beat Man Utd in order to sign attacking midfielder

The RB Leipzig attacking midfielder has piqued the interest of European heavyweights such as Chelsea and Manchester United.

Leipzig, on the other hand, has advised potential suitors that if their high valuation isn’t met, the midfielder would not be sold.

The 24-year-old has piqued the interest of Europe’s top clubs this season because to his incredible goal-scoring exploits.

This season, Nkunku has been personally involved in 35 goals in 37 games across all competitions, with 25 goals and 10 assists.

Barring Mohamed Salah’s 19 goals in 24 games this term, Nkunku’s Bundesliga tally of 14 strikes in 2021/22 so far is more than any other player in the Premier League.

So it comes as no surprise that Leipzig have slapped a jaw-dropping price tag on his head ahead of the summer transfer window.

Thomas Tuchel could be eyeing Christopher Nkunku.

Chelsea joins Manchester City, Real Madrid, and PSG as ‘many and prestigious’ interested parties, according to Foot Mercato.

Any club interested in signing Nkunku this summer will have to pay at least £62 million (€75 million).

With the 2022 World Cup coming, the France under-21 international hopes that his strong performances in the final third would persuade Didier Deschamps to give him his senior debut.

And if his performance in Germany isn’t enough to persuade the France boss, he could be on the verge of taking the ‘next step’ in his career.
