Chelsea are two of the summer destination options for soon-to-be free agent Barcelona winger after collapsed negotiations between his representatives and Paris Saint-Germain, according to Sport.
FC Barcelona winger, whose contract at Barcelona expires at the end of this month, could reportedly announce the decision over his future next week.
Barcelona is reportedly sceptical about a possible extension because the 25-year-old has yet to accept the contract offer.
On the other side, Dembele’s representatives are said to be in talks with other teams.
Dembele is reportedly interested in joining Paris Saint-Germain, but the French club’s summer preparations have been hampered by a structural shift.
PSG’s departing sporting director Leonardo allegedly loved the idea of signing Dembele on a free transfer, but his likely replacement Luis Campos prefers to bolster the team’s midfield instead.
PSG may have closed the door on Dembele after weeks of negotiations, according to the report.
Dembele is said to be torn between joining Chelsea and staying at Barcelona.
An earlier report from talkSPORT also claimed that Chelsea are the favourites to sign the former Borussia Dortmund star.
The Blues have offered the France international a four-year contract with a signing-on bonus, according to Sport, but it is still less than what Dembele and his representatives are seeking.
Barcelona, on the other hand, is said to be refusing to improve their first offer and expecting the player to make a sacrifice in order to stay at the club.
