Serie A giants Inter Milan might have something to say about that though. The Nerazzurri are the only club who has triggered Messi’s release clause in the past.

In 2006,  they were willing to sign the Argentine at £132M but Messi decided to stay in Catalunya. At the end, the decision probably paid off as he went on to win countless trophies & a record 6 Ballon d’Ors. However, with Barcelona’s recent struggles, it looks like he’s starting to regret it.
